
Homemade Dried Tomatoes in Oil
Making your own canned dried tomatoes in oil can be very quick, easy, and delicious. Also, enhance any dish you prepare with them. Here I leave you a proposal of ingredients that you can use to season them.
Ingredients
- Dry Tomatoes
- Olive Oil
- Basil
- Garlic
- Pepper
- Oregano
- Salt in grains
Instructions
- The first thing we will do is hydrate the dried tomatoes in hot water for an hour. Then we remove the tomatoes, drain them and dry with kitchen paper.
- In a canning jar (previously sterilized in boiling water) add olive oil and the spices: chilli, peppercorns, oregano, sliced garlic cloves, basil, oregano and salt.
- Next, we layer the tomatoes and add the spices and olive oil again. And so, as in layers, we are filling the container to the top that we will finally cover with oil.
- After a week they are ready to be used in the dishes you want.
