  • The first story in my new series One Bite, One Story begins here, with a dish that’s simple, soulful, and deeply tied to Lucca.

This is what Italians call a piatto di recupero: born from the habit of not wasting, and made with care.
Rovelline Lucchese are slices of beef, fried and simmered in tomato sauce, is the kind of comfort food that carries memory in every bite.

You can still taste a delicious version at @ristorantemecenate, in Lucca’s quiet piazza San Francesco.

  • Portovenere is a little seaside town felt like one of the most photogenic spots in the region.

The Church of San Pietro, Doria Castle, and Byron’s Grotto all offer stunning panoramic views of the sea.

It’s the kind of place that moves at its own pace, quiet, scenic, and effortlessly charming.

  • For some reason… Corniglia was always the one I left for “next time”.
I’ve been to the Cinque Terre so many times… but somehow, I never made it here.

This year… I finally did.

And honestly? It stole my heart.
The views are next level, the vibe is peaceful, and you can still feel real village life in the air.

Yes… there are stairs (quite a few 😅)…
But every step is worth it. #wanderingandtasting #Corniglia #cinqueterre #5terre
  • This, to me, is what real luxury looks like: a simple table with a million-dollar view, fresh fish caught the same morning, homemade flavors, and the warmest hospitality.

Honest food, kind people, and that slow, genuine feeling of being truly present, that’s exactly what you’ll find at @ittiturismo_corniglia_sp4488 along the Cinque Terre trail.

I came here thanks to the @un_tavolo_per_bue account… and honestly, I couldn’t be happier I did.
