5-Day Provence Itinerary — Day 2
We spent the morning continuing to explore Aix-en-Provence, and obviously, the highlight was the Thursday Provençal market.
Each square has its own vibe:
Place Verdun → clothes, accessories, things for the house. Place Richelme → the best one (in my opinion), full of local products: seasonal fruits and vegetables, cheeses, olives, spices… and that lavender smell everywhere. Place de l’Hôtel de Ville → flowers, colors, and a really nice atmosphere
For lunch, we went to @lemiollis, which was perfect to recharge before continuing the trip.
—
From there, we drove into the Alpilles and based ourselves in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence for the next two nights.
We stayed at @apparts_and_lofts_, very well located and super convenient.
First impression of the town: it feels like an open-air gallery.
There are shops everywhere: clothing, home decor, art, small cafés, and épiceries
And everything is so well maintained that it feels newly done, but without losing its charm.

In the evening, we drove about 30 minutes to Arles.
We walked a bit around the center, saw the amphitheater and the Roman arena, and just took in the architecture, it feels a bit different from the rest of Provence, a little more raw, maybe.
Dinner was at @lepicerieducloitre, a really nice spot to end the day.
Then we drove back to Saint-Rémy.
